On 3rd of August 2017 the director of Career Development Center at the University of Zakho (CDC-UOZ) Ms. Edi S. Kachal along with Career Coordinator Ms. Nazder Murad visited a group of twenty six students from the University of Zakho, Faculty of Science, Chemistry, Biology and Environment departments who have been selected in the internship program of 2017 in Laboratories of Bedare Hospital in Zakho. This program was a part of a joint project between the University of Zakho and Zakho general hospital to train and improve skills between both parties in the health sector and its related issues.
Through the visit the director of CDC-UOZ closely looked at the work environment the students are working and listened to the challenges they are facing through the program plus she discussed with students about the benefits of this program.The students are committed to work for 150 hours.
The main objective of this internship program is applying Education in Nature, which is an opportunity for students theoretically what they have learned in classrooms, applying practically and professionally in a market of placement industry needed.
The University of Zakho also has students from other faculties who have been working in local companies as part of this program. In the end of the program, more details will be on UOZ website regarding this internship program.
